Recently, I worked with a construction company in New Jersey that has been in business for 12 years. As they grew, their accounting system was still in 2007. Staten Island Consulting worked with the client to review their current system and their setup. When all was said and done, the findings report recommendation was to expand the GL structure within their current system and track by CSI Codes for better reporting. As an alternative, an analysis of current accounting systems was provided to them. The final outcome was a 40-hour engagement with Staten Island Consulting, which has improved AP and AR operations at a minimal cost to the client.
